Desecration of Christ – Rape of God's Flock (Full 2022)
When your band is called Desecration of Christ, listeners have the right to expect the most corrosive and lethal apocalyptic black metal torture imaginable. Like an untamed sonic beast, it is a force that does not settle for playing—it devours. This Ecuadorian band, forged in the fire of the most abrasive black/death metal and pierced by apocalyptic noise, embodies the rawest and most underground spirit of the genre, the kind that would make any fanzine like Witchhammer crack a smile. There are no ornaments here, no concessions—only pure chaos.

The sound of Desecration of Christ is hostile by nature: a machine of shattered riffs, infernal vocals, and atmospheres that scrape the soul. This is not music meant to calm—it is a storm intentionally invoked. Each release by these guys has shown sonic evolution, starting with their first work, a home-recorded demo Blasfemia (2021), continuing with their full-length Rape of God’s Flock (2022), and later their split with the Colombian band Destroyer Attack, Primitive Noise (2023).
Their full-length Rape of God’s Flock is a direct declaration of sonic war: corrosive guitars, vocal lines that sound as if they were vomited from the abyss, and a structure created to drag the listener into a trance of destruction. The lyrics, loaded with blasphemy and ceremonial nihilism, do not seek only to offend the sacred: they turn chaos into ritual, an anti-religious cult as poetic as it is violent.
What distinguishes Desecration of Christ from other brutal bands is their conceptual background. They do not do “destruction for destruction’s sake”: theirs is a symbolic demolition of organized religion, with a special fixation on Christianity. There is no redemption here—only ruin. This aesthetic of chaos worship and ritual blasphemy connects directly with an audience that is not looking for simple sound, but for dark meaning, for liberation through sonic violence.
I had the opportunity to see this band live some time ago alongside South American extreme metal icons Sarcófago, accompanied by the Philippine devastation of DEIPHAGO, the dark force of IMPURITY, among other hordes. And I can say with total certainty that they possess one of the most violent and corrosive stage presences I have ever witnessed. They seem to have come straight out of hell. Very few bands sound live with the same ferocity as in their studio works, and this is one of them. When they started playing the songs from the split, the place turned into a battlefield. Destruction to the Temple in the Name of Baphomet and Blasphlustblood blew my mind; it was total chaos, a discharge of barbarity that leaves its mark.
Desecration of Christ is a living tribute to the darkest side of metal. They do not only sound extreme: they live their blasphemy, breathe it, project it, and spit it onto the audience. For any underground reader, they represent exactly what it means to love the extreme—not as a spectacle, but as ritual, catharsis, and total surrender. If you want to immerse yourself in an abyss without concessions, they are the black door you must cross. It is worth emphasizing that even though the band remains split up, they continue playing live, and I hope they release another infernal work.
Today is a good day to listen to this shit. I take this opportunity to wish each of my readers a good New Year. Cheers.

SPANISH:

Salud.
