Brahmastrika-Abhabaniyastral Samsarimplication (Ep-2022)
Emerging from the chaos-soaked depths of Kolkata, Brahmastrika is the kind of sonic arsenal that doesn’t merely resemble a band it detonates like a ritual explosion in the middle of an execution field. With roughly four years of active assault behind them, the entity is forged by two infernal war-beasts: A.S.α handling drums and vocals, alongside A.B.Ω Guitars, Vocals.
What crushes the hardest about this material is its relentless ability to sustain an atmosphere of absolute hostility. I’ll focus on their first EP — because first impressions matter. Later releases may evolve, expand, isolate, or mutate certain elements, but this debut is pure chaos incarnate. It opens with an intro drenched in the atmosphere of deranged machine-gun fire, immediately establishing the terrain of devastation.
There are no pauses to breathe. Everything is engineered to suffocate the listener beneath an avalanche of primitive violence, blasphemy, and total destruction. The guitars spit razor-edged riffs like rusted wire tearing through flesh, while the drums unleash nonstop bombardments that transform every track into a march toward absolute annihilation.
From the very first incursion, the sensation is that of being trapped inside an armored offensive buried beneath smoke, shrapnel, and charred corpses. There are no comforting melodies, no domesticated structures — everything advances like an unchained war procession spiraling deeper into ruin.
What makes this release truly devastating is how it transforms chaos into identity. Beneath the excessive violence lies a sharply defined artistic vision, obsessed with cosmic destruction, spiritual disintegration, and the complete collapse of every notion of order. The result is a crushing, delirious, and genuinely disturbing record — a sonic offensive that leaves scars long after the final detonation fades.

The artwork itself is drenched in chaotic symbolism, deformed figures, and an oppressive visual architecture that feels almost ritualistic. Every corner appears twisted within shadows, fire, and spectral emanations, evoking a war beyond anything human. The art does not seek acceptance, nor technical cleanliness; it seeks to disturb, suffocate, and drag the viewer into the same dimension of annihilation projected by the music itself.
Final result: a work that feels like a ceremonial collapse of the cosmos, where every composition crawls through abrasive density and atmospheres ripped from a plane of metaphysical devastation.
Without further ceremony, I invite you to experience this release for yourselves — a calm weekend is the perfect excuse to rupture your eardrums.
